One of Rösle's superb kitchen tools, this 9-1/2-inch cheese plane properly serves firm cheeses like cheddar, aged Gouda, Swiss, and jack. It's shaped something like a spatula, although with a blade in its center. Drawn across a block of cheese it neatly peels off a thin slice. The spatula part then lifts a slice and places it on a plate, cracker, or toast. Like all Rösle tools, utensils, and Open Kitchen storage components, the cheese plane is made of 18/10 stainless steel for rustproof beauty and long-lasting durability. The round handle has a satin finish to conceal finger marks. The handle is sealed against water and has a hanging ring so the cheese plane can be conveniently stored on a hook in the Open Kitchen system of Rösle basic rails and Gridwalls or hung on any hook or peg. The cheese plane is sturdy, balanced, and exceptionally comfortable in the hand. All Rösle products are dishwasher-safe, and carry a lifetime warranty against defects. --Fred Brack It's easy to get thin slices with the 9.25-in. Cheese Slicer by Rosle. Sturdy stainless steel construction features a stable wedge/blade surface. Sharp cutting edge works well with medium-hard and hard cheeses, such as Cheddar, Parmesan and Romano. Comfortable, watertight handle has a convenient hanging loop.
